Arming Your DSC PowerSeries Neo Touchscreen Keypad
The DSC PowerSeries Neo touchscreen keypad offers multiple arming modes to suit your security needs. Follow these simple instructions for each option:
1. Arm Away (Full Arming)
Purpose: Arms the entire system, including all motion detectors and sensors. Use when leaving the premises unoccupied.
How to:
- Wake up the keypad by tapping the screen.
- Tap the “Arm Away” icon (typically a locked padlock or a person walking away).
- If prompted, enter your 4-digit user code and press “Enter” (or OK).
- Exit the premises within the specified exit delay time.
2. Arm Stay (Perimeter Arming)
Purpose: Arms perimeter entry points (doors, windows) while allowing movement inside the premises. Use when you’re home and want to secure the perimeter.
How to:
- Wake up the keypad.
- Tap the “Arm Stay” icon (usually a person inside a house).
- If required, enter your user code and press “Enter.”
3. Arm in Bypass Mode
Purpose: Arms the system while bypassing specific zones (e.g., a frequently used door). Use when you need to keep certain areas accessible while maintaining security.
How to:
- Wake up the keypad.
- Tap the “Bypass” icon (often a crossed-out circle).
- Select the zones you wish to bypass by tapping their corresponding icons.
- Tap “Arm Away” or “Arm Stay” as desired.
- If prompted, enter your user code and press “Enter.”
Important Notes
- Exit Delay: After arming, you’ll have a short exit delay to leave the premises before the alarm fully activates. The duration is configurable by your installer.
- Chime: You may hear a chime during the exit delay to alert you that the system is arming.
- Keypad Lockout: Entering an incorrect code multiple times may lock the keypad. If this happens, wait for the lockout period to end or use a valid code to unlock it.
- Customization: Your keypad’s icon layout may vary slightly. Refer to your user manual for specific icon identification.
